My name is Mia Gordon, founder of Basically Soap. My journey began with my own long-standing skin concerns and a mother’s determination to create a gentler cleansing option for my daughter. Drawing on my chemistry background, I began studying how oils, clays, milks, botanicals, and formulation choices shape the cleansing experience.

What started in my kitchen became a chemist-led, small-batch soap company built on consistency, ingredient transparency, and care. Each bar is handcrafted in Delaware and developed with a thoughtful balance of performance, appearance, and sensory experience.

Today, Basically Soap serves individual customers, retailers, organizations, and private-label partners while remaining committed to cruelty-free practices and responsible packaging. Every bar reflects the same purpose that started the company: making everyday cleansing feel intentional, dependable, and beautifully made.
